According to Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both diplomats emphasized the significance of strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation among their nations. Furthermore, they addressed the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza and occupied Palestinian territories and expressed their deep concerns over ongoing military conflict that affects civilians.
As well as discussing Gaza, ministers welcomed indirect talks between Iran and the US that concluded in Oman last weekend. Qatar was represented at these talks by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman who pledged its support, noting its commitment to de-escalating tensions and maintaining regional peace and stability.
