Congressman Fine, a Republican from Florida, made controversial remarks during an interview with Fox News. He made comparisons between the current conflict in Gaza and World War II citing that in WWII “we did not negotiate a surrender agreement with Nazi Germany or Japan – rather, we nuked both twice to force unconditional surrender of both.” To which Anadolu Ajansi and ynetnews replied with Dawn as follows “If that were ever done here… that needs to happen now”.
Hamas responded to such rhetoric as inciting to genocide with condemnations and called on the international community to hold such extremist calls accountable. Additionally, they stated that such statements will not weaken faith in justice for Palestinian cause but instead reveal its true face of occupation and its backers.
