Jerusalem – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed a drone strike targeting southern Lebanon that resulted in the killing of an individual linked to Hezbollah, further increasing tensions along Israel-Lebanon borders amid ongoing hostilities.

The IDF identified Haidar Mohammad Faqih as a member of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force; according to Israeli military officials, Faqih had been engaged in efforts to rebuild Hezbollah military infrastructure in southern Lebanon since November 2024, which violated their ceasefire agreement and were considered directly illegal under international law.
